Benjamin Zanon "Prospection 1/19"

Die Arbeit »Prospection 1/19« von Benjamin Zanon vereint performative Elemente mit einer Installation im Waltherpark sowie am Pavillon des Kulturvereins Vogelweide. Sie stellt einen Ausflug sowohl in zeitlicher (Vergangenheit/Gegenwart/Zukunft) als auch in räumlicher Hinsicht dar. Die künstlerische Intervention soll,
ähnlich einer archäologischen Untersuchung, die Geschichte des Parks im ältesten Stadtteil Innsbrucks erforschen und fragmentarisch ans Tageslicht bringen, seine Position im gegenwärtigen Innsbruck formulieren und sich letztlich über die mögliche Zukunft des Parks Gedanken machen.

Benjamin Zanon’s »Prospection 1/19« combines performative elements with an installation in Waltherpark and at the pavilion of the Kulturverein Vogelweide. It represents a trip in temporal (past/present/future) as well as in spatial terms. The artistic intervention, similar to an archaeological investigation, aims to explore the history of the park in Innsbruck’s oldest district and fragmentarily shed light on it. It wants to formulate the park’s position in contemporary Innsbruck and, ultimately, reflect on possible pathways for its future.
